hello urban farmgirl!

Hello!
come on in,
(cute decals for sale)

to the wonderful world of the urban farmgirl!
kathy(kate) chris and myself headed down to rockford, il
to find holiday treasures at mary's shop
she did not disappoint.

we had a great time.
spent quite awhile browsing as there is so much to see -
 it's hard to leave.
we made quite a few trips around the shop,
mary laughingly said "your still here" on our maybe 5th or 6th trip around!

sorry for the not so good photos, my camera went kind of goofy
and i had to take photos without seeing what i
was shooting at.
see the letters top left of this photo -
mary posted them on facebook
and she said the phone was ringing off the hook, they were selling like crazy.

merry christmas to me : )

the end

to a fun day.
i took friday off to hit the new glarus city wide garage sales.  new glarus ("america's little switzerland" and home to the new glarus brewery - famous for it's spotted cow brew) is a cute little town about 30 miles south of madison.  many years ago my friend kathy/kate and i had an antique booth in town, started it right when gas price went sky high and folks stopped venturing out for sunday drives so timing wasn't the best.  anywho, thought i would take advantage a beautiful summer day and venture south and visit the old neighborhood.
on the way out of town i hit a few garage sales in madison and found the coolest vintage screen.

packs up in this handy case

pull the cord up

and ta-dah - it snaps in place and you are good to go.

not sure how old it is, the company is still in business.

knew i was going to have a fun day when this was one of the 1st things i saw on my garage sale adventure.

not for sale though.........

on the road to state

we headed up north to watch football, kyle is a coach on the high school team.  we made a side trip to a little town, rudolph, home of the wisconsin dairy state cheese co.

you can buy bulk butter, of course.
making cheese curds.

they have a room full of pretty blue and white cheese keepers.

won't keep you in suspense, this is how the game ended, on to state!
happy team, fans and kyle.
