| this is a great little made for tv movie that was made back in 1972. a young girl living in nebraska in 1946 wants nothing more than a christmas tree, but her father is bitter and refuses to have one due to previous events. It stars Jason Robards (who is great in all the presidents men) mildred natwick (who is also great in barefoot in the park) and Lisa Lucas. I found the dvd a few years ago, it is available on amazon. the movie reminds me of the sweet story Gracie's Cottage was sharing a few days ago. |
