you break it..........

i've always wanted one of these :)

pretty fitting ending to a not so fun weekend.
trying to make the best of the weekend we
went for a drive in the country to see color and stop
at a lunch spot we use to go to when the boys were little.

not much color left but countryside was beautiful nontheless.
lunch was ok.
the nice waitress did give us an extra large malt to share which was a nice surprise.

after lunch we stopped at an antique shop down the street and the above happened.

i took it off the wall to get a better look at it,  i put it back on the wall and walked
around the corner and craaaash. down went the clock.
the antique shop folks were so nice, they weren't really going to charge me much at all,
but the price was good to begin with i just paid the full price.
i think i can fix it.
time will tell.......

am i nuts?

for buying this at nellie's barn sale?
i couldn't resist,
too funny.

i was able to tag along with angie (aka camper whisperer) and her sister cheryl to the show saturday.
there were about 55 vendors, perfect fall day.

i enjoyed seeing booths from local vintage shops.
there were a few that i haven't come across
such as vintage birch barn, just south of madison.

lunchtime entertainment.

now to the vintage campers -
here's one of angie's three vintage campers,
"daisy"
so cute, and even cuter
with her new vintage laundry cart
from nellie's barn sale.

here's the 16, daisy's mother

and here's the stylish "boles areo" camper.
she found all three campers in the last 2 years.
lucky!

the greatest walls on earth

when heading to the flea market in the cute little town of elkhorn,
you pass thru another cute little town,
delavan.
to make it even "cuter"
many murals were painted around town this summer
courteous of the walldogs.
you can read about them here.

this map shows the locations of
all the murals around town.
i only spotted a few murals my last trip thru,
but plan to find more each time i go
back to the elkhorn flea market.
i can see marty mummert doing this,
i know he did something similar in iowa.

love the potato farm font.
