here's a great sugar cookie from
and the best part is
no rolling and cutting out is required.
so in other words you get to the end product much faster.
penzey's sugar cookies
1 cup butter softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
preheat overn to 375.
sift sugars over the butter in a large bowl;
cream together until fluffy.
add the egg and vanilla; mix well on low.
add the flour, cream of tartar and baking soda.
beat until the dough forms a ball.
shape the dough into 1 inch (or smaller) balls
and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
bake at 375
on ungreased cookie sheets for 7-9 minutes.
