sayner, wi - part 3

here is the hardware store in downtown sayner.   Carl Eliason came up with the first ever snowmobile in 1924.   the hardware store has a cute mini-museum inside which houses a few vintage snowmobiles among other items.  my son kyle became interested in vintage snowmobiles last year so i had to stop to take a few photos before i left town.
ha ha
a vintage snowmobile, they don't make them like they use to.
another stop, another mini museum in town that houses the very first snowmobile.

and here it is, made by carl eliason of sayner, wi.

here is kyle's favorite

how fun would it be riding in the back car of this winter get-up.

mini magpie ethel moment

i had a mini magpie ethel moment last weekend.  i stopped at an estate sale on my vintage route and picked up these items (minus the cake plate) at very good prices.  i wish i had more of magpie ethel's good luck, this last week she had such good luck she had 2 post for her treasures!

sayner - part 2

kathy/kate and i were able to escape from staining for a bit and ran downtown to an adorable shop, red door relics.   it's a must visit!
the shop is next to their cute home, the small building in the back is made from doors.
here is a closer pic of the door house, aka "personal quiet space" - sorry it's a bit blurry.
