we headed to iowa to help pack donny last weekend, and i was able to sneek a couple hours away (thanks rick) and head to gilbert, home of JB Knackers. The town was having a little celebration and it just so happens that brenda was having a flea market in her cute side yard. lucky me. the vendors were all so nice and had some great items for sale.

i picked up some peaches the other day, can't wait to enjoy them.

what was that?

the local grocer had these cute peaches, called "saturn peaches". too funny, they look like donuts.

i "ran" thru the art fair on the square last saturday, it was hot and packed but i hadn't been there for a few years so i thought i should check it out. as usual some amazing art and some "interesting" art.

needless to say, the art fair was a moooooving experience.


I saw a photo of a "tiered cake" made up of old tins and it was so cute! I thought i saved it and tried to find it and can't. I will keep looking and post it when/if i do. it gave me the idea to come up with my 4th of July "fireworks" while unpacking the summer decorations box. it's still a work in progress.
