oh deer!

christmas is only 11 days away!

need to get moving on the buying, wrapping, baking etc.

but of course i got sidetracked and 

tried to make pom-poms like

miss mustard seeds.

the big pom-pom was 50 wraps aroung 4 fingers,

middle size 40 wraps around 3 fingers

and the small one was 30 wraps around 2 fingers.

hope to make more, but am running out of time, too much to do!

last summer, i picked up this letter made from a book at the cute shop, "poppins" on mackinaw island.

here's a pic of the letters in the shop.

i was trolling anthropologie the other day (love looking at the displays) 
and what did i find but letters made from books.

the exact same item, but a higher price. 

i just took a peak at etsy and there are a quite a few shops that sell similar letters

at a variety of prices.

diy pom-pom

here's my try at making my own

 honeycomb pom-pom.

need to work on it, as mine won't open up all the way around and i pretty much used up the whole glue stick on one pom-pom.  

kind of fun to try making these yourself, guess it's 

back to the pinterest board.

putz craft

love putz houses and i try to think of new ways to display these cute little houses.  so i came up with this option and i will call it a craft to make it sound more complicated than it is.
