hey it's uggie's cousin, dougie.  this is a paperweight that i picked up at an antique store.  I haven't seen the movie "the artist" yet but can't wait to see it.

sardines for breakfast

we had a great breakfast at one of my favorite spots, sardines for a birthday treat.

this is one of the main reasons (besides the great atmosphere) why i enjoy going. yum.

hopefully the next time we go, the lake won't be frozen.

i have wanted to do a craft on the blog - so this may count for one (skill level - none required : )

 

 

 

the problem is they don't make this type of necco sweetheart candy boxes anymore.  these were made maybe 13 years ago? where has the time gone! the boxes had the cellophane where the photos are and i thought what a perfect little frame for school pics. 

how to:  eat candy, tape photo in box. done!

now the little boxes are all cardboard, you would have to cut out a spot for photos. maybe they will come back with retro boxes and bring back the cellophane sometime soon.

camp waunacamper

goin' to the RV show!

we are dreamin' about getting a camper again.  we had a pop-up when the boys were little and had lots of fun with it.

this was the only cute one at the show. otherwise it was row after row of white,tan and brown color scheme campers.  you had your choice of brown/tan, brown/beige, brown/sand or brown/brown interiors.

where are the colorful, fun ones like the ones in the great movie, "the long, long trailer" with Lucy and Desi.  they need to bring these back.

this might be as close as i get to finding one.  happy trails!

this is what happens from time to time when the vacuum cleaner starts.  Gordon jumps up on top of the kitchen cabinets, he hates the vacuum.  he is so quick we don't even notice he is there until we are finished vacuuming.

all clear, time to get down.

guess i will just have to vacuum less so we don't upset gordon.
