for me nature is one of the neatest things on this planet. 

how neat is that!

not too often you get all this neatness in one location, that's called nature.

that's pretty neat

here's a lighthouse, the cana island lighthouse.  you can tell it's a lighthouse because of the way it is.

this sunday is the craft-apple-ar in poynette, wi.  so if you are looking for something fun to do on sunday take a drive to lapacek's orchard.  i won't be there to sell we have other stuff going on.  sounds like it should be fun.  check out glitter workshop for more info.

vintage door county - part 2

heading up to door county we went thru algoma, a very cute town along lake michigan.

we ran into this fun antique store - dodge antiques. their info online states:

"If you need something and cannot find it here, email or call, Tom can find it for you.  He is very "hands on" in restoration, consignment and display of a very unique collection of many antiques." 

good to know and by checking out the store i am pretty sure they can find whatever you are looking for. 

they have everything including a sweet jadite bathroom sink!

vintage door county - part 1

rick and i headed to door county for a little summer getaway.  this is the iconic wilson's in ephraim, wi.  painted, sketched by many artist that make door county their inspiration. 

 but i better start at the beginning of the trip, we passed wilson's later.

 1st stop on the way to door county was at beerntsen's in manitowac for some tasty angle food, so light and delish you forget about how much you really ate.

hum, there seems to be a theme here, wonder which red and white striped awning came first. stripes are cool!
